When I was a little kid the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy was THE best street fair. However, over the years it has lost its luster. With so many other random street fairs in NYC now a days, the food choices are nothing special and the carnival style games are lame.

(Sorry no pictures - (1) mostly because it was too crowded to pull out a cell phone to snap a picture and (2) it was too messy to pull out my phone to snap a picture.)
Zeppoli
Your standard fried dough with confectionery sugar.
Taste: unhealthily delicious.
Conclusion: you cannot go to a street fair and not eat bad food.
Drink: smoothies, it was $10 with 1 free refill.
Banana Smoothie - surprisingly good.
Strawberry Smoothie - a little tart but with enough sweetness to work.
