Christmas Eve Pt 1 (kind of...)

 Thursday, December 23, 2010

AN EARLY LUNCH

My girlfriend decided she wanted to get some KFC at the food court at the Queens Center Mall.

My girlfriend gave me one of here chicken tender strips, I think I am going to get those next time, definitely the best item on KFC's menu.

I went with the spicy chicken wings... they were a little disappointing (they tasted good but the portion size was very unamerican - small).

A LATE LUNCH

We ended up grabbing a Cheesy Bites Pizza Pie from Pizza Hut and taking it home.

Although terribly unhealthy, I love this pizza. You get to rip off pieces of the crust, which are filled with cheese, drip them in marinara sauce and eat them!

Overall Healthiness: very American - probably the most unhealthy you can eat without eating lard.
Overall Tastiness: very tasty!
Overall Satisfaction Level: full but bloated...

Subway: Cold Cut Combo

Thursday, December 23, 2010

LUNCH
(from Subway)
Cold Cut Combo on Honey Oat with Swiss Cheese
(Contents: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, sweet peppers and honey mustard.)

Cost: $5.44 (damn tax!)
Drink: just some free water from the office water cooler (Poland Spring this month)
Taste: good (although I was starving so just about anything half decent would have tasted good)
Healthiness: misleadingly unhealthy? (according to the Subway menu it had roughly 820 calories)
Conclusion: I was happy with my meal... although writing this about an hour and a half after eating this meal I am starving again... and I have been sick for the past 2 weeks and not exercising so it is definitely not my metabolism...
Remarks: I have had $5 footlongs from subway the last 2 lunches in a lame attempt to save some money...

A hopeful return to normalcy...

Hopefully from here on out posts will be more regular with more content. I might stray from the previous format a bit though due to time constraints, but hopefully it will be more than just pictures...

Cherry Cheese Pastry

Thursday, December 23, 2010

BREAKFAST
(from a breakfast cart)
Cherry Cheese Pastry
(it was pretty good but did not have enough filling)

Cost: $2.50 include a large coffee
Drink: large coffee with milk and sugar
Taste: okay to good
Healthiness: not very
Conclusion: okay to decent
Remarks: as I am posting this about 2 hours after I ate this I am not absolutely positively starving so this breakfast was not filling enough... only 30 more minutes before I can get lunch...
