Five Guys Burger and Fries (enough said!)

Meal: lunch (Sun 9/5)
From: Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Cost: less than $17 for two
Location: Queens

Ordering and Food Preparation

My Order (Burger and Fries)

The Entire Order

Burger with Everything
Five Guys Burgers are always juicy and delicious, and this time was no different. I got the burger with everything, which means lettuce, tomato, raw onions, grilled mushrooms, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, and pickles. All that and two beef patties wrapped in a sesame seed bun... wow what a burger!

Burger with Everything

Fries
The fries were great as well and they come in a cup. They were all crispy and had the right amount of salt. I love how Five Guys does not skimp on the fries, they always throw a small scoop of fries with the order into the bag (in addition to the cup of fries).

Fries

Peanuts
Five Guys always gives out free peanuts, and they are good, roasted and lightly salted.

Complimentary Peanuts

Taste: UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS
Conclusion: I have been waiting for this meal all week!

DELICIOUS!

Drink: medium soda (free refills). I drank lots of Coke Zero with ample ice.
FREE REFILLS!

The Big Buford

The #1 Meal (Big Buford with Medium Fries and a Drink)

Meal: lunch (Thu 9/2)
From: Checkers
Cost: less than $8
Location: Lower Manhattan (near my office)

The Big Buford
This was a pretty big burger, they had some kind of tasty special sauce, just delicious. I will have to order this again the next time I go to Checkers. The burger itself was simple: two beef patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions. Personally, I really like red onions, not really sure why.

The Fries
I love the fries from Checkers, they are always crispy (I think they are double fried) and they have some kind of pepper on it that makes it great with no need for any ketchup.

Taste: absolutely delicious!
Conclusion: hit the spot, I was craving a burger after seeing my mom watch some Food Network special last night about burgers.

Drink: medium diet coke (although it would be considered a large at most other places), fountain sodas with ice are just better when it is 90+ degrees out.
